This used to be a nice place. Everyone seemed to know everyone and life was well... awesome. Oh well, you guess there’s no reason to dwell on the past. Nowadays it feels like something’s always watching, waiting to sneak up on---
Did you see that? Maybe it’s just your mind playing tricks.. No, there it is again. Those dark, lurking eyes of crimson. Look, they’re staring at you—right there amongst the cluster of bushes, near the last patch of houses. A sudden sense of fear fills you. What should you do? Will you run and try to warn the others? Or will you stay and fight? You take a deep breath, feeling the air shake in your lungs. You can’t run. You can’t hide and you can’t fight. You close your eyes, hoping it will be over soon. When you open your eyes, the eyes are gone. Just take a deep breath, and walk away. You suddenly are clam with your fate—until you see nothing but darkness. You’re dragged away silently into the depths of the timber, your muffled screams, softly echoed by the whisper of chains.
When you wake up, your a slave.
It’s either that or a corpse.
